Junior Postilion Engineer (TB) at Mediro Recruitment

Description

• Provide desktop support for the Postilion electronic financial transaction switch.
• Troubleshoot issues related to the Postilion switch and provide timely resolution to technical problems.
• Maintain documentation related to the Postilion switch and related systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support, as needed.
• Collaborate with other members of the technical support team to ensure system uptime and performance.
• Production environment, support, upgrade, and security.
• Setup and configure Disaster recovery.
• Ensure periodic tests are executed at the DR site.
• Ensure that failover procedures are documented and kept up to date.
• Ensure that communication channels are established with all clients at a technical level.
• Ensure feedback is given to both management and clients.
• Ensure change management is adhered to.
• Ensure adequate testing has taken place before implementing new systems or changes to existing systems.
• Ensure all technical documentation is current and freely available.
• Ensure all process are documented.
• Test any new system released/upgrades from development.
• Ensure that a testing schedule and procedure is available.
• Setup and maintain production systems.
• Database management.
• Identify issues/problems and assess the severity of the problem and take corrective action.
• Determine appropriate approach to solving problems.
• Develops plans for implementing solutions.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (compulsory) plus B. Tech (Information systems/ Computer Systems) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or B.Eng. (Electronic / Electronic / Computer).
• 1 year minimum Postilion work experience required.
• Work experience required with issuing, POS Acquiring / TermAPP, Application Builder.
• Experience with Postilion Interchanges (PostBridge, Nexbridge, Base24, VisaBase12, Visa SMS, Visa, MasterCard (Cr/Dr), BankServ, Active/Active
• Experience with ATM Driving – ATMAPP / Application Builder (NCR and Diebold)       
• Experience with 3DSecure / E-Commerce acquiring.        
• Experience with MS SQL database engine.
• Experience with development language like (C / C++ / C# / F# / Java Delphi/ T-SQL/ Python, Perl).
• Familiarity with the following: Cryptography, ISO8583 protocol, HSM, Virtual Machines, computer networks.
