We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at SKG. As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our construction projects. You will be responsible for assisting with cost estimation, budget management, and contract administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and project schedules
Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities
Review and analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential cost savings or risks
Assist in the procurement process by obtaining quotes and negotiating prices with suppliers and subcontractors
Monitor project costs and provide regular reports to project managers
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all cost-related activities
Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule
Assist in the preparation of final accounts and cost reconciliation reports
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Honours will be beneficial
1-2 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry
SKILLS:
Strong knowledge of construction materials and methods
Proficient in Microsoft Office and cost estimating software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
