Junior Sport Scientist at SEMLI

The Sport Science Unit at Sport, Exercise Medicine and Lifestyle Institute (SEMLI) at the University of Pretoria is looking to recruit a full-time junior sport scientist to join their team from January 2022.

Job Description:

•  Sport Science support and interventions encompassing sport physiology, biomechanics and strength & conditioning to athletes and coaches
•  Mentorship to UP students
•  Contribute to the research outputs of the sport science unit at SEMLI
•  Monitoring of athletes

Essential Requirements:

•  Honnours in Sport Science or postgraduate equivalent thereof
•  1 year of experience working in the field of Sport Science or Data analytics
•  Computer based / Microsoft Office competency

Desirable Requirements:

•  Strength & Conditioning Certification (CSCS or equivalent)
•  ISAK Anthropometry qualification
•  Data Analytics experience
•  Research experience
•  Professional memberships
