Lab Manager: Haematology at Ampath

Purpose of Position:

• Responsible for the performance of the laboratory team and the laboratory's day-to-day functioning, ensuring operational goals are met, and high-quality standards are maintained.

Requirements:

• HPCSA registration as a Medical Technologist: Medical Technology (Required), HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field (Required), National Diploma: Biomedical Technology

Required Experience:

• Experience in pathology laboratory environment, Knowledge: HPCSA regulations, Knowledge: HR policies and procedures, Knowledge: Meditech system, Knowledge: MS Excel, Knowledge: MS PowerPoint, Knowledge: MS Word, Knowledge: Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), Senior and / or supervisory or managerial experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath, Manage all technical and quality control procedures in the laboratory in order to ensure best practices are upheld, Manage and monitor laboratory staff in order to ensure that the goals of the department are achieved, Perform operational and financial management tasks in order to ensure operational priorities and initiatives that may be required and to control expenses and ensure the correct allocation of funds
