Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Analysis of plant and soil samples
• Laboratory management and planning
• Financial management (Budgeting)
• Participate in practical training (WIL)
• Liaise with academics, students & community around university

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor of Sciences in Analytical Chemistry is essential
• Registration with the SACNASP is essential 
• Membership with a professional society is desirable 

EXPERIENCE:

• 1-3 years Technician experience is essential 

FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS):

• Management plant and soil laboratory skills with 1-3 years’ experience
• Establishing standard operational procedures (SOPs)
• Knowledge of instrumentation
