A well-established organisation within the built environment sector requires a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support quality assurance activities across active project sites.
This is a hands-on role and you will be responsible for material sampling, testing coordination, compliance monitoring and maintaining accurate quality records to ensure materials meet required technical standards.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric
2–3 years’ experience within a construction, infrastructure, or site-based technical environment
Exposure to material testing, quality control, or laboratory processes
Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping ability
Able to work independently within a fast-paced site environment
Key Responsibilities
Collect and prepare material samples for testing and quality verification
Monitor material compliance against required specifications and standards
Maintain testing equipment and ensure work areas remain operational
Record and track all sample data accurately for audit purposes
Identify quality concerns and escalate deviations promptly
Support ongoing quality assurance and technical compliance activities across site operations
