We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in a commercial food testing laboratory environment who can contribute immediately to our ISO 17025 accredited operations.
Perform microbiological analyses of client and internal samples strictly in accordance with ISO 17025 accredited methods.
Ensure accurate, complete, and timely recording and processing of test results.
Maintain method compliance and assist with technical upkeep of existing methods.
Participate in method development, validation, and evaluation of new methodologies where required.
Professionally manage client-related technical queries and communicate effectively with the Team Leader regarding testing or result-related matters.
Requirements
BSc degree with Microbiology as a major subject (BTech qualifications will not be considered for this position).
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a commercial food microbiology laboratory.
Demonstrated understanding of ISO 17025 laboratory practices and quality systems.
Experience with routine food pathogen testing (e.g., Salmonella, Listeria, E. coli, etc.).
Advantageous:
Experience in molecular techniques (e.g., PCR-based pathogen detection, sequencing etc).
Exposure to method validation and verification studies.
