    Lead Digital Product Manager

    Responsibilities:

    • Flash Apps (NFA; OFA; USSD App): Managing most effective digital route to market Device range & planning.
    • All Merchant Apps - Development; enhancements; performance; roadmaps UI/UX - Flow; ease of use
    • Device specifications to ensure speed & reliability.
    • POS evolution - Right device for appropriate retail space
    • Corporate accounts: Advisory capacity to teams designing architecture of merchant solutions
    • Txn speed
    • Solar Billing
    • Dynamic menu/ dynamic product OneView
    • Sumni - data insights & capabilities - ownership (specifications and requirements) Geo mapping solutions
    • Migration planning USSD management Rica service Business Portals Money flow
    • Wallet management

    Interact with Technical Teams and Manage Integration:

    • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of virtual products onto Trader devices.
    • Coordinate with developers, engineers, and product managers to establish integration requirements and timelines.
    • Provide guidance and support throughout the integration process to ensure successful implementation.
    • Conduct regular meetings and maintain open communication channels with technical teams.

    Integration and Launch of Products:

    • Take ownership of integrating and launching various products onto virtual channels, ensuring smooth deployment.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the virtual channels and their technical requirements.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and customer support, to facilitate successful product launches.
    • Conduct pre-launch testing and validation to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.

    Device Hardware and User Experience:

    • Understand the hardware specifications of mobile trading devices and provide input to enhance the customer experience.
    • Collaborate with hardware engineers and design teams to optimize the device's user interface and functionality.
    • Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
    • Continuously monitor industry trends and technological advancements to propose innovative enhancements.

    Quality Assurance and Maintenance:

    • Play a pivotal role in quality assurance throughout the product lifecycle, from development to maintenance.
    • Develop and implement quality control processes and standards to ensure product stability and performance.
    • Collaborate with testing teams to define test cases, conduct testing, and identify and resolve issues.
    • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to proactively identify areas for optimization and improvement.
    • Coordinate with development teams to address bug fixes, implement updates, and ensure smooth product maintenance.

    Device Strategy:

    • Develop and execute device strategy plans aligned with business objectives and customer demands.
    • Define device rollout and maintenance schedules, considering factors like market demand, product lifecycle, and technical feasibility.
    • Plan and coordinate solar migration strategies to ensure seamless transitions for traders.
    • Oversee firmware updates and ensure compatibility with virtual products
    • Manage different app versions, ensuring backward compatibility and a smooth transition for users.

    App Security and Features:

    • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure app security and protect sensitive user information.
    • Stay updated on the latest security standards and best practices to implement appropriate security measures.
    • Define and manage password management protocols and encryption standards.
    • Coordinate with design and development teams to implement user-friendly app features and optimize the user experience.
    • Oversee the development of slip templates for traders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and ease of use.
    • Build team and people capabilities through:
    • Providing real-time, ongoing coaching and feedback to team members throughout the year
    • On-time completion of performance management activities including regular 1:1s and Bi-annual performance reviews through GPS.
    • Supporting employee development including facilitation of career development conversations and crafting development plans for current and future needs
    • Taking action to hire and retain high-performers and address poor performance.
    • Proactively manage change initiatives within the team including sufficient planning/ preparation and communication to minimise disruption and support employee adoption.
    • Role modelling the behaviours that support and drive the Flash culture and values.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a technical role related to platform management, product integration, or similar.
    • Experience in Fintech environment
    • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
    • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
    • Familiarity with mobile device hardware specifications and software platforms.
    • Knowledge of virtual channels, app security, and quality assurance processes.
    • Experience with usability testing, user feedback analysis, and user experience (UI/UX) design principles.
    • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
    • Familiarity with firmware updates, device rollout strategies, and product lifecycle management.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with technical teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to lead meetings, facilitate discussions, and maintain open communication channels.
    • Strong collaboration skills to work with developers, engineers, product managers, marketing teams, and customer support.
    • Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions.
    • Analytical mindset to interpret performance metrics, identify optimization opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills to guide technical teams, provide mentorship, and drive projects to successful completion.
