Lead Front-End Software Engineer at Yoco

Key Responsibilities: 

• As a Front-End Engineering specialist at Yoco, you will have the chance to lead, collaborate and innovate with like-minded, self-motivated, driven experts, using advanced JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, with a desire to achieve exceptional design fidelity, usability, accessibility and performance across both desktop and mobile The work you do will directly impact the day-to-day business of Yoco’s 70,000+ merchants, most of which are accepting card payments for the first time. 
• At Yoco we are not building software, we are engineering prosperity for all South Africans.

Key requirements to perform responsibilities:

• 10 years of working experience, or highly skilled with less.
• BSc+ Computer Science, equivalent degree or self-taught.
• Excellent web engineering/development skills.
• Experience working with React (or similar), JavaScript, HTML5 & CSS.
• Design-centred thinking, with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Excellent collaboration skills across the wider company.
• Pride in your work, and an ability to lead those around you towards excellence.

• Active involvement in Web Development communities.
• A passion for learning, and for sharing what you learn.
