Job Description
Project initiations and management of process engineering projects
Process technical strategies
Management information and process technical strategies/systems support
Support to the operations
Coaching and performance management initiatives
Provision of technical services
Budget and resource planning
Best practices compliance
This role forms part of the Processing function of the Divisional Metallurgical Laboratory (DML) at a Band 5 level reporting to the Head of C&I and Concentrator Technology with multiple reports
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Completed BSc/BEng in a Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering discipline
Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer would be desirable
Professional registration with the Project Management Institute (PMI) or similar would be desirable
Completed or in the process of completing a Business/Commercial/Technical postgraduate qualification (PhD, MBA, MBL, MDP, LDP) would be advantageous
Required Experience:
A minimum of 6 years experience in process engineering, preferably within the PGM processing environment
A minimum of 4 years experience in process engineering projects
Other Requirements:
A valid certificate of Fitness.
Advanced computer literacy.
Valid South African Drivers’ License.
