Lead, Technical Solution at Standard Bank Group

JOB PURPOSE
To scope, plan, design and deliver complex end to end solutions against required standards and timelines. To direct, guide and oversee technical solutions delivery, interpreting business requirements, defining technical tasks, engineer quality software, end to end testing and troubleshooting technical questions, software and database issues. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Provide technical direction to the identified teams by leading and guiding their output in line with the delivery and business objective, driving team commitments to the work in every iteration and continual engineering delivery improvement.
• Perform risk analysis and guide delivery teams to produce development plans to consider the impact of design decisions.
• Direct the adoption, and adherence to, suitable and agreed development methodologies and principles through work outputs and behaviours that enables continuous delivery and development across the production environment as well as ensuring effective collaboration with all stakeholders.
• Work with data analysis colleagues to review, approve, produce or update system or object data models and correlate these with corporate models.
• Look actively for opportunities to shorten development timelines, improve skills of the team and improve cost efficiency of application development activities.
• Strive to reach mature levels on the Continuum model by building own and team competence to work in a continuous delivery environment.
• Execute against strategy and technology landscape by guiding teams in the assessment and selection of suitable technologies and advise development staff on the evaluation and impact analysis of major design options.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post Graduate Degree in Information Technology as well as Industry related certifications such as Cloud certifications.
• Experience in a combination of Java, Springboot, NodeJS, Docker or Kubernetes, Chef, IBM MQ, Angular, React, Database skills.
• Experience in AWS, Azure or Cloud computing.
• Exposure to instrumentation and observability with experience in monitoring and metrics collection tools such as AppDynamics, Prometheus, Nagios and Graphite.
• Exposure to Global Markets Trading systems.
