Learning and Development Facilitator: Engineering at RCL Foods

• RCL FOODS is on the hunt for an analytical critical thinking Learning and Development Facilitator with strong Mechanical and/or Electrical experience to join the Sugar Division. The Learning and Development Facilitator will report to the Specialist: Engineering and the role will be based at Malelane.
• The purpose of this role is to identify competency gaps, assist with the design and development of learning materials, align methodologies to facilitate engineering / maintenance training interventions, evaluate and report impact of training interventions.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 with a recognised Electrician or Millwright trade test certificate.
• In possessions of an Assessor certificate
• A Higher certificate or National Diploma in OD ETDP NQF6 or relevant qualification will be an advantage.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified artisan.
• Proven experience in technical training or a similar facilitation role would be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of the technical subject matter to be delivered with a strong engineering background.
• Excellent communication, presentation, coaching and interpersonal skills.
• Well developed leadership skills with a passion for learning and development essential.
• Must have computer skills.
• Must have a valid code 10 / C1 driver’s licence

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Identify competency gaps, assist with the design and development of training material and assessment tools.
• Compile and maintain engineering/maintenance training matrixes.
• Implement and facilitate training interventions.
• Assess practical and theoretical learning outcomes.
• Evaluate impact of training interventions (ROI).
• Implement the apprenticeship project, and maintenance worker development programme.
• Reporting, general coordination and training administration.
• Provide consultation services to the respective line management.
• Present or facilitate technical training interventions to workforce.
• Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling and venue arrangements.
• Ensure all training activities adhere to health, safety, and organisational policies.
• Maintain a safe working environment and promote good housekeeping.
