    Learning Designer

    Description

    • We are looking for a highly skilled Learning Designer to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and fast-growing company. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be innovative and work with our product development and academic teams, to develop courses with our partners and SMEs.

    Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

    Instructional design processes (research)

    • Research development of operational processes and procedures for course development, such as policies, project management items and rate cards
    • Learning solution and course architecture
    • Overall design and approach for appropriate learning solutions
    • Instructional design for course development (IADDIE phases), including project management (function)
    • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
    • Develop, and assist with providing, exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
    • Creation of learner-focused storyboards which encourage participation and engagement
    • Develop, and assist with, the creation of supporting material
    • Ongoing queries, improvements and re-evaluation of previously developed courses – programme review
    • Functional project management for delivery of allocated courses
    • Subject matter expert (SME) management
    • Engagement, management and support of Subject Matter Experts on allocated courses

    Research

    • Conduct instructional design research and analysis on existing theories and practices
    • Conduct research on online courses

    Quality Assurance

    • Maintenance and continuous improvement on course material
    • Implementation of academic policies and procedures

    Administration

    • Check course content is received timeously
    • All SME contracts and documents are in order
    • Endorsements and accreditation
    • Proposal and service-level agreement (SLA) preparation
    • Coordination with marketing and sales for allocated courses

    Requirements

    • 3 + years’ in Instructional/Learning Design
    • Relevant educational degree or qualification
    • Understanding of learning practices and outcomes
    • Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
    • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
    • Knowledge of course development software and
    • Visual design skills
    • Ability to write copy/instructional text
    • Copy, fact and accuracy checking skills
