Leasing Manager at Bushveld Minerals Limited

About the role

The Leasing Manager is a Bushveld Energy role which will structure and negotiate vanadium electrolyte rental contracts with users of vanadium redox flow batteries. The role includes building and managing a financial model for each rental contract. It includes responding to funding requests for vanadium rental and coordinating pricing with suppliers of vanadium and electrolyte converters, which will primarily be internal to Bushveld Minerals.

Main outputs and resposibilities

Design and refinement of rental products

• Together with the Bushveld Energy management and the Vanadium Investment Fund developer structure rental contracts for Bushveld's vanadium electrolyte across the globe;
• Engage with local legal and tax advisers to ensure contracts meet local country requirements while optimising for local tax treatments of imports, leases and rental contracts;
• Identify potential improvements in the current structure;
• Develop new products rental / leasing products that may better meet customer requirements and / or the Vanadium Investment Fund;

Business development for rental products

• Ensure direct and continuous engagement with all global vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) manufacturers to promote Bushveld's rental product;
• Reply to requests for quotation of pricing and terms for vanadium electrolyte rentals, including calculating pricing, non-financial terms, supply timing, etc;
• Negotiate and oversee signing of rental contracts;
• Continuously engage with Bushveld Energy management and the Vanadium Investment Fund developer to align on rental structure and pricing;
• Continuously engage with Bushveld's (and when needed external) vanadium mining and electrolyte processing facilities to align on rental pricing, quantities and timing of delivery;
• Oversee the portfolio of on-going rental agreements, including issue resolution.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, or Similar specialty;
• Masters Degree in Finance or Full/Partial CFA advantageous;
• Minimum 8 years professional experience in Finance, with a focus on Leasing Products;
• Experience working directly with customers, including negotiation of terms and pricing;
• Experience working with international customers in multiple global regions;
• Familiarity with the Electrical Energy Industry a plus;
• Demonstrated leadership skills in a diverse and multicultural environment;
• Ability to travel internationally to attend key conferences and meet with key potential and existing customers in person.
