Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Ideal

• Honours in Information Systems/ Computer Science

Alternatively:

• Honours degree with advanced database design or a similarly related field to the third-year level ​​.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• ​Lecturing experience in SQL/ database design and implementation/ database administration
• Familiar with use of SQL*Plus and SQL Developer to manipulate Oracle Database.

Knowledge of the following concepts:

• RDBMS
• Data warehousing
• Structured Query Language (SQL) statements and SQL functions
  • Data Definition commands.
  • Data Manipulation Language commands.
• Procedural Language (PL)/SQL coding language.
• Data manipulation using PL/SQL structures.
• Handling PL/SQL Exceptions.
• Use of procedures and functions to develop and maintain databases.
• Triggers and Advanced Interface Methods
• Administering a Database
• Git and GitHub
• Work experience as a software developer/ application developer/ programmer
• The candidate must have worked within the tertiary institution so that they understand what students will experience of tertiary institutions and what is expected from them.
• The candidate must have a solid understanding of academic skills and how to assist the students to incorporate these skills into their studies.
