Lecturer in the New Generation of Academics Programme (nGAP) in Public/Municipal Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, and Logistics at University of the Free State

Duties and responsibilities:

• Teach and assess undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of Public/Municipal financial management, as well as supply chain management and logistics.
• Perform academic administration of undergraduate and postgraduate modules pertaining to learning, teaching, research and assessments.
• Contribute to curriculum development in the department and faculty.
• Provide study leadership at a postgraduate level
• Participate in additional academic activities including, but not limited to, presentation of research papers at national and/or international conferences, as well as involvement in departmental/faculty activities.
• Perform general administration duties as applicable at university level.

Inherent requirements:

• Master’s degree on NQF Level 9 in Public Administration and Management, passed with a minimum of 70% (please attach academic record).
• Registered PhD candidate (please attach proof) or indicate intention to register within the first year of the appointment with clear evidence of research focused on the above-stated specialisations. 

Recommendations:

• A PhD degree on NQF Level 10 in Public Administration and Management.
• Sound knowledge of the South African Public Administration and Management environment, with a focus on public/municipal financial management, as well as supply chain management and
• logistics.
• Sound knowledge of the South African public sector environment with a focus on public/municipal financial management, as well as supply chain management and logistics.
