Lecturer: Interior Design (Independent Contractor) at Vega School

Job Purpose:

Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• BA Honours in Interior Design (NQF 8)
• BSc Honours in Interior Architecture (NQF 8)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education (NQF level 8) with an undergraduate qualification in the field of Interior design/architecture or Architecture. For IDVI5121: Sofware requirement - SketchUp

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• ​Interior design/interior architecture/Architecture studio experience.
• Lecturing experience.

Key Performance Area:

• Prepare for lectures based on provided content.
• Supplement content with own expertise.
• Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours.
• Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed. 
• Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.
