Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (x2 Posts) - Clinical Psychology (AC.08.4) at University of the Witwatersrand

Brief Description        
Requirements for Lecturer: 

• PhD degree and Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. Applicants with significant progress towards a PhD may be considered. 
• Proven research ability as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and/or research reports
• Registration with the HPCSA in the category of Clinical Psychologist for three years or more
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Educational background, teaching and research interests in clinical psychology
• Experience in teaching psychology at a tertiary level

Requirements for Senior Lecturer: 

• A PhD degree and Masters in Clinical Psychology
• Proven research ability as evidenced by a substantial record of peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and/or research reports.
• NRF rating is recommended
• Registration with the HPCSA in the category of Clinical Psychologist preferably for three years or more
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Educational background, teaching and research interests in clinical psychology
• Experience in teaching psychology at a tertiary level
• This will be a permanent post subject to a three year probationary period.
• Responsibilities: Teach courses in clinical psychology, research methods and/or psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate level; contributions to course-level curriculum development and transformation; academic administration; supervision of postgraduate students; willingness to pursue an active programme of research and research publication; and willingness to participate in the intellectual and public life of the school and university.
