A Grade 12/ National Senior Certificate. A Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) in terms of government notice R.425 or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur. Post Basic Qualification (R.212 or R48) registered with SANC.
Diploma/ Degree in Nursing Education. Diploma/Degree in Nursing Administration and Master's in Nursing or Public Health will be an added advantage. Knowledge of Student Affairs processes in a Nursing Education Institution will be added as advantage.
A certificate in Assessor and Moderator will be an added advantage. Proof of current registration with SANC. Good communication, supervisory, report writing, and presentation skills. Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
Computer literacy/ certificate (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). A valid driver’s license.
PND1 minimum of 4 years of appropriate/ recognizable nursing experience after being registered as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur.
PND2 minimum of 14 years of appropriate/ recognizable Nursing experience after being registered as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur, at least 10 years of the period must be appropriate experience in Nursing Education.
Duties :
Develop and maintain relevant documents for the management of students theoretical and clinical teaching and learning according to legislative requirements. Participate in the Student Affairs recruitment and selection processes of PGD students. Manage the record keeping of all student matters pertaining to their education and training programmes.
Collaborate with all stakeholders and build sound relationships within the college as well as with all stakeholders. Supervise administrative staff. Monitor and evaluate student progress.
Participate in planning and implementation of PGD student graduation ceremony. Develop and review student policy and guidelines develop, coordinate block programmes and allocation of classrooms.
Plan and implement programme of students. Prepare and manage formative and summative theoretical and clinical assessments. Prepare the invigilation lists. Adhere to the Code of Conduct including the dress code.
