Lecturer: Xitsonga Education at University of Limpopo

Requirements:

• Master of Arts in Xitsonga/Xitsonga Education
• Teaching experience in Xitsonga
• Have a teaching qualification
• University teaching experience will be an added advantage
• Have interest in pursuing a PhD (Lecturer) in Xitsonga Language Teaching

Competencies:

• Ability to work under pressure: individually and as a team member
• Be innovative and self-motivated.
• Be computer literate
• Have a drivers licence

Duties: The successful applicant will be expected to:

• Facilitate teaching and learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (both content and pedagogical knowledge, that is, content and methods subject)
• Supervise Honours and Masters research projects (Lecturer)
• Academic administration
• Participate in Material Development for Xitsonga modules
• Contribute towards the Department’s transformational and strategic goals.
