Legal & Compliance Officer - Northern Suburbs

Key Responsibilities:

1. Compliance Reporting
- Assist with submission of reports to regulators.
- Assist with drafting of legal and compliance report to Exco and ARC.
2. Compliance Management and Monitoring Plans
- Assist with drafting of compliance management and monitoring plans.
- Review compliance management and monitoring plans.
- Updating regulatory universe.
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with relevant regulators and ombuds.
- Liaise with credit bureaus.
- Liaise with relevant business units within the group.
4. Legal Research
- Conduct legal research.
5. Drafting of Contracts
- Drafting and reviewing of contracts.
6. Complaints Management
- Liaising with ombuds, debt counsellors, etc.
- Investigation of complaints and responding to complaints.
Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
- LLB
- Minimum of 2 years working in a legal/ compliance role
- Admitted Legal Practitioner (preferred)
- Certification in Compliance Management advantageous
- CPrac (or commitment to obtain)
