Draft, review and negotiate corporate documentation, client service agreements and NDAs;
Assist and advise our operational teams and business leaders on all issues relating to fund servicing matters;
Advise on data protection issues in the context of client and vendor service contracts;
Assist in group wide integration projects;
Help maintain and develop our library of template client service agreements in accordance with industry best practice;
Provide day to day legal advice across all Group business lines to best meet their business needs, maintaining good working relationships through active communication, facilitation and teamwork.
Skills Required
A solicitor qualified in South Africa or another common law jurisdiction;
At least 5 years of experience within fund services or the wider financial services industry (in-house or private practice). Candidates with less experience will be considered on an exceptional basis;
Be comfortable/competent in dealing with general service contracts;
Be highly motivated and a self-starter with the ability to work semi-supervised supporting a fast-paced dynamic business;
Possess team spirit and enthusiasm with the capacity to build strong client relationships, taking the initiative to act.
