Inventory change at the change of shift: meeting with the Shift Manager and the relieving Coordinator.
Production in progress, upcoming program.
Location of the FP silo and Packaging line and prioritization based on the load.
Managing of Quality on Shift
Ensuring product packed and declared to warehouse meet specified quality requirements and pallet stability.
Sign off line startup quality checks
Sign off CCP checks as per required frequency
Do 2 hourly line quality spot checks
Sign off startup product from extrusion before been transferred into silo
Monitor net weight management tools
Do on job coaching around quality gaps to operators
Manage housekeeping and GMP in Packing
Ensure traceability requirements are met from start to end of packing
Ensure NCR are raised and closed within 24 hrs.
Ensure quality PDCA actions in packing are closed
Initiate CI projects around quality
Implement and manage 5S status in packing
Manage Non-quality cost in packing
Ensure that SSC Labels matched information on pallets
Ensure that all pallets are stacked neatly and not falling.
Provides oversight and validation of weekly cleaning operations.
Assist Line Operators in non-conformities decisions, blocks, isolation and causes and corrective actions.
Managing of FP tower
Feeling of FP silo and Packaging line vs the manufacturing schedule by limiting stops upstream and downstream.
Control of what to be produced in extruders by visual inspection of the production plan before launching in grinding and extrusion.
Control of quantities to transfer in packing silo to meet the plan schedule.
Control of silo extraction in respect of constraints like (emptying speed elevators, conveyor utilization, packaging lines speed, screening, quality ...)
Allocation of 16 FP silos (in relation to extrusion outputs)
Launch of recipe after hoppers to prevent the product mix
Production planning Adjustment for under/over attainment.
Information / Communication Management
The Coordinator is the central point of information (Launching and packaging) to the entire production process.
Gives Extruder Operator directive of which silo to fill.
Gives Packaging operator directive of when to load a particular product on the plan.
Liaise with warehouse ahead of plan, for material availability
Update Shit Manager of a state of packaging and production program and all the technical, quality, other production issues.
Manage first line problem solving on shift when required.
Ensure FMOS structure is followed.
Ensures the replacements of the Operators during breaks.
Give directive to operators when and which lines should take breaks.
Work closely with Shift Manager to asses severity of technical problems and information and feedback to Maintenance on shift.
Health and Safety , Environment
Report to his hierarchy of non-conformance (near misses, injury , waste, spill ...)
