Further develop and implement an integrated logistics management system and strategy to support the business objective.
Collaborate with Development, Maintenance and Operations teams to forecast inventory needs and plan replenishment orders.
Performance analysis of the overall budget/expenses for the logistics operation and determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transport services.
Ensure the logistics processes are streamlined.
Implement best practices for warehouse management, including organising stock, implementing FIFO system, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Negotiate pricing for market rates and drive improvements.
Negotiate and conclude contracts for inbound and outbound logistics.
Ensure efficient management, control, compliance and reporting of the function in accordance with legislation, fraud prevention, risk management principles, company strategic supplier relationships and negotiations.
Manage international import and export processes.
REQUIREMENTS
BCom Logistics/Procurement, B Industrial Eng or similar qualification.
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role including managerial experience.
