Logistics Manager at Lotus Bakeries

Job description

• Ensure to develop and implement logistics strategies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Need to manage the entire logistics process, including importing, transportation and distribution via road, sea, and air.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery and availability of products.
• Manage Customer Service with all Sales offices and International Sales team.
• Oversee freight forwarding activities, negotiate and manage contracts with transportation providers.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics service providers and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations relating to logistics and transportation.
• Communicate regularly with international vendors to ensure that all the necessary paperwork/documentation is accurate and received in a timely manner.
• Align regularly with Corporate & Local Buyers to help facilitate high-level visibility of all international shipments.
• Worked daily with Freight Forwarders to ensure transit and rate optimization.
• Be proactive and identify any potential customs issues.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management
• 5 years proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing, import and export environment.
• Proficient in using SAP, logistics management software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Ability to build and develop great relationships, both internally and externally
• Able to prioritise quickly in a fast moving, entrepreneurial environment.
