    Logistics Planning Engineer - Automotive Manufacturing (41546)

    Job Description

    • Our client, a Manufacturer of automotive body parts, based in KZN is looking for an experienced Logistics Planning Engineer - Automotive Manufacturing. Are you passionate about optimizing logistics systems and driving efficiency? Our client, a leading player in the automotive manufacturing industry, is looking for a Logistics Planning Engineer to enhance operational performance through innovative engineering solutions.

    Requirements:

    • Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering. (BTECH, BSc or Beng)
    • Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role within the automotive manufacturing sector.
    • Strong project management and continuous improvement expertise.
    • Experience with logistics supply methods and SAP (advantageous).
    • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for Kaizen opportunities.
    • Ability to work shifts, overtime, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyze and optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Streamline workflows and conduct productivity studies to eliminate inefficiencies.
    • Plan and allocate manpower resources to meet production requirements.
    • Optimize factory layouts for space utilization, material flow, and safety.
    • Manage supply chain and logistics to reduce costs and lead times.
    • Implement quality control procedures and lead process improvement initiatives.
    • Lead and coordinate projects related to process improvements and new implementations.
    • Utilize data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing (TPS) and Kaizen principles.
