Core Elements of Job

• Offer and allocate loads to transporters (owned fleet and 3PLs)
• Compiling optimal delivery schedules
• Develop daily distribution schedules to ensure effective customer service and effective utilization of transport resources
• Conduct dynamic rescheduling and re-planning to accommodate constant changes in market or business requirements
• Implementing corrective controls to achieve schedule regardless of changing circumstances
•  Continuous tracking of schedule execution and adherence
• Decide when to override output of the scheduling tool to ensure effective execution of orders and proper utilization of scheduling technology
•  Ensure that schedule are aligned with safety rules, business rules and scheduling parameters
•  Identify improvements to business and scheduling rules
• Transport allocation to internal and external transporters to ensure effective usage of resources, customer service and cost containment
•  Track planning and scheduling performance almost continuously to ensure adherence to schedule and rules
• Continuously reduce cost and increase service levels, within constraints of rules, safety requirements
• Coping with high pressure and constantly changing marke demands, incumbent must be flexible

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required

• Qualifications:  B.Com or Engineering or Logistics Degree (preferred) or relevant experience in similar role

Required entry Years of relevant experience: 

• 2 to 3 years (Logistics Scheduling) or (Dispatch and Expediting Control) experience
• 1-2 years’ relevant transport scheduling experience
• Experience in different loading / offloading methods applicable to transportation environment
• Experience across base chemical product groups
