Minimum requirements

• Matric
• Min of 5 years' experience in estimates in forwarding and clearing. (Air, Ocean a must & Road a bonus - Import and Export)
• Sound understanding of Incoterms 2020.
• Working experience on Cargowise

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive and attend to estimate requests from E-mail - Clients, Sales, Operations Nationally.
• Print estimates requests and ensure full information verified with client / operations.
• Request EXW / DDP rates required from agents
• Maintain and updating the Agent contact list.
• Work with rates on National shared drive.
• Obtain spot rates from airlines / shipping lines when required.
• Apply for transport rates where necessary.
• Confirm Tariff Headings and duties with Customs representative
• Apply comparison estimates where required.
• Estimates to be entered daily into estimate register and kept updated on the shared drive and numbered accordingly.
• Estimates must be saved on the shared drive under the said client file with the number obtained from the estimate register.
• Collate estimates done and accepted at the end of each month, make sure with operations that these figures are correct and send estimates done and estimates accepted figures to the Executive
• Oversee and guide the junior estimator
• Compiling estimates on new and current business.
• Compile pricing for RFQ's, RFI's and Tenders.
• Providing commercial support internally.
• Ability to manually calculate charges
• Ability to produce accurate estimates and quality control them independently without supervision.
• Must be able to action project estimates including Breakbulk, RORO and other out of Gauge enquires.
