Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to understand their unique machine vision requirements, providing expert guidance and solutions.
Solution Design: Design and develop machine vision solutions, including hardware and software components, that meet client specifications and quality standards.
Prototyping: Create proof-of-concept prototypes and perform feasibility studies to validate the effectiveness of proposed solutions.
Programming: Develop and optimize machine vision algorithms, utilising software tools such as OpenCV, MATLAB, or proprietary platforms.
Integration: Integrate machine vision systems into clients' existing workflows and production environments, ensuring seamless operation.
Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing, validation, and troubleshooting of machine vision systems to ensure they meet performance and accuracy criteria.
Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and training materials for clients and internal teams.
Training: Provide training and support to clients and internal staff on the operation and maintenance of machine vision systems.
Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in machine vision technology and recommend improvements or updates to existing systems.
Requirements
Technician or degree in the field of machine vision, automation technology, robotics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or electrical engineering is essential
Valid driver’s license.
Mobility and willingness to frequent travel.
Min 5 years experience experience in manufacturing/automation environment (preferably motor vehicle) and working with projects.
Excellence in field engineering and customer service.
Software skills e.g. MS Office software, SAP, CRM.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java will be beneficial but not essential.
Some experience in AutoCAD is an advantage.
Familiarity with machine vision software libraries and frameworks.
Technical sales ability.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
Knowledge of industrial automation and robotics is desirable.
