Duties and Responsibilities 

• Full responsibility for business development (profit & loss) within South Africa and Regional countries.

• Strategic planning and development for both existing and new opportunities and market segments.
• Maintain close relationships with the product company to develop and implement business strategy and marketing plans and provide feedback on market trends and competition.
• Give full attention to customer care, retention and interaction with specific attention to our customer's feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
• Maintain a strong focus on key account management for major segments and customers.
• Further develop the existing distributor channel to market with both current and new distributor partners in line with divisional strategy.
• To develop, lead and motivate a strong sales team maximising the resources to "feet on the street" thereby achieving territory management objectives.
• Closely follow up on business results versus trends and analyse and report on deviations from plan.
• Actively supports the preparation and delivery of monthly business reports and presentation of company, business review and management meetings.
• Develop the digital marketing and communication strategy with a strong focus on lead generation. 

Requirements 

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
• Computer literate in Microsoft; Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook. 
• 5 years minimum experience in the mining/manufacturing sector. 
• Compressed Air Business Background is advantageous.
• Good financial understanding.
• Marketing mindset initiative (Digital).
• Strong Sales Management skill.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Management Systems:
• Receive maintenance reports from the Maintenance Technicians.
• Supervise contractors when repairs are outsourced.
• Order critical spares based on maintenance manuals.
• Update the Preventative Maintenance System (PMS).
• Provide daily feedback on downtime analysis.
• Perform preventative equipment and facility maintenance.
• Maintenance Performance Analysis and Reporting:
• Ensure the availability of correct tools for each job and report missing or required equipment to the General Manager.
• Report machine problems to the Production department for awareness and resolution.
• Maintain the preventative maintenance procedure for all production equipment and facilities.
• Update the electronic preventative maintenance system (UpKeep).
• Update critical spares stock levels.
• Order critical spares as necessary.
• Liaise with international suppliers regarding equipment issues.
• Planning and Ensuring Maintenance:
• Plan the daily maintenance schedule and prioritize important tasks.
• Ensure proper completion of job cards in UpKeep.
• Maintain up-to-date stock levels of maintenance spares and ensure their good working condition.
• Conduct and document preventative maintenance for all machinery in the plant.
• Provide instructions to maintenance assistants before they work on any machine.
• Establish a recording track sheet to report the maintenance and performance of each machine to management.

Minimum Qualifications Requirements:

• N6 or Diploma in a relevant field.
• Trade certification in Mechanical or Electrical.

Related Minimum Experience:

• At least 10 years of experience, including managing people and systems.
• Strong planning abilities.
• Ability to read technical drawings.

• System installation, start-up and commissioning of robot vision systems in the Automotive industry.
• Service, maintenance, system checks, optimization of installed systems and customer training.

Requirements 

• Technician or degree in the field of machine vision, automation technology, robotics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or electrical engineering is essential
• Valid driver’s license.
• Mobility and willingness to frequent travel.
• Min 5 years experience experience in manufacturing/automation environment (preferably motor vehicle) and working with projects.
• Excellence in field engineering and customer service.
• Software skills e.g. MS Office software, SAP, CRM.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java will be beneficial but not essential.
