    Maintenance Manager

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Maintenance Management Systems
    • Maintenance Performance Analysis and Reporting
    • Planning and Ensuring Equipment Maintenance
    • Continual Improvement
    • Maintenance Resource Management

    Key Customers:

    • OEM Customers & Aftermarket Customers
    • Suppliers / Service Providers
    • HOD Team
    • Users of the Management System

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintenance Management Systems:
    • Receive maintenance reports from the Maintenance Technicians.
    • Supervise contractors when repairs are outsourced.
    • Order critical spares based on maintenance manuals.
    • Update the Preventative Maintenance System (PMS).
    • Provide daily feedback on downtime analysis.
    • Perform preventative equipment and facility maintenance.
    • Maintenance Performance Analysis and Reporting:
    • Ensure the availability of correct tools for each job and report missing or required equipment to the General Manager.
    • Report machine problems to the Production department for awareness and resolution.
    • Maintain the preventative maintenance procedure for all production equipment and facilities.
    • Update the electronic preventative maintenance system (UpKeep).
    • Update critical spares stock levels.
    • Order critical spares as necessary.
    • Liaise with international suppliers regarding equipment issues.
    • Planning and Ensuring Maintenance:
    • Plan the daily maintenance schedule and prioritize important tasks.
    • Ensure proper completion of job cards in UpKeep.
    • Maintain up-to-date stock levels of maintenance spares and ensure their good working condition.
    • Conduct and document preventative maintenance for all machinery in the plant.
    • Provide instructions to maintenance assistants before they work on any machine.
    • Establish a recording track sheet to report the maintenance and performance of each machine to management.

    Minimum Qualifications Requirements:

    • N6 or Diploma in a relevant field.
    • Trade certification in Mechanical or Electrical.

    Related Minimum Experience:

    • At least 10 years of experience, including managing people and systems.
    • Strong planning abilities.
    • Ability to read technical drawings.
