    Category Speciialist: OT

    Education & Qualification

    • A tertiary qualification in Engineering Sciences (Electronic /Computer Sciences /Mechanical /Chemical), Supply Chain, or a related field.

    General Knowledge & Experience

    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the main areas of the digital technology industry, i.e.: Software, Hardware, Technology Services and Telecommunication Networks.
    • 4-6 years relevant experience covering category and / or commodity experience
    • Knowledge of OT software and equipment, including but not limited to Mining Technical Systems, production systems, instrumentation, and process controls technology such as HMIs, SCADA, and other related products.
    • Effectively applies acquired technical/functional skills and knowledge to promptly meet required expectations of quantity and quality and meet the annual plan.
    • Familiar with the key factors that drive the tender process.
    • Technical knowledge and understanding of the following areas of the technology industry:
    • Software (License Cycle, Subscription, Maintenance and Support, etc.)
    • Hardware (Specifications, Replacement Cycle, Support, Warranties, etc.)
    • Technical Services (Outsourcing, Cybersecurity, Systems Implementation, etc.)
    • Networks (WAN, LAN, ISPs, Internet Links, etc.)
    • Cloud Technology (IaaS, SaaS, CaaS, etc.)
    • Commercial knowledge to prepare benchmarks and reporting.
    • Contractual agreements & relationship management.
    • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Commit to Customer Satisfaction while maintaining a high level of compliance.

    • Plan, prioritise, and problem-solving, and able to manage workload while balancing priority tasks and operationally urgent requests.

    Tools:

    • Excel (Advance): Advanced Functions and Formulas: familiar with advanced Excel functions like array formulas, lookup functions (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH), logical functions (IF, AND, OR), statistical functions, and date/time functions.
    • Data Analysis and Manipulation: experience with data manipulation, cleansing, transformation, and analysis using Excel. This includes handling large datasets, sorting, filtering, performing calculations, and generating reports.

    Role Accountabilities

    • Effective communication among business and technical teams in order to facilitate the delivery of the procurement program required by the annual OT Commercial Cycle.
    • Conduct market analysis, identify new suppliers, and negotiate contracts to optimise costs, quality, and delivery, while maintaining service levels, and timely delivery of projects.
    • Collects and analyses quantitative and qualitative information to assess suppliers’ capabilities, TCO, and perform benchmarks, and derive recommendations in support of the decision-making process.
    • Establishing and maintaining internal customer relationships with key contract stakeholders to ensure effective management of sourcing activities, and contract management.
    • Stay current with market trends and emerging technologies in the area of OT.
    • Managing technical enquiries (price and non-price factors) and RFQ (price only factor), processes and develops, executes, and analyses the results in conformance to the departmental guidance.
    • Prepares material for negotiations to support the Commodity Manager in supplier negotiations.
    • In-depth understanding of existing contracts and stakeholder requirements.
    • Development of specific sourcing strategies for the assigned industry, researching and writing commercial reports, planning and executing sourcing activities, identifying optimisation opportunities, and alternative sourcing.
    • Manage suppliers to ensure sustainable delivery according to AGA demands.
    • Ensure sufficient interface with key stakeholders when developing and communicating commodity strategies (Global/Regional/Site)
    • Liaising closely with internal customer teams to ensure alignment with their strategies, management, and development of supplier relationships.

    Financial Accountabilities

    • Implementation of cost reduction and value realisation strategies.
    • Guide business on contract execution and management.

    Lead Information Management and Analytics

    Education & Qualification 

    • Bachelor's Degree in IT related fields 

    General Knowledge & Experience 

    • 8+ years in a corporate IT environment
    • 8+ years' experience with Microsoft reporting and analytics solutions
    • 8+ years of SharePoint experience
    • 8+ years' experience delivering new platforms and applications.
    •  Azure platforms experience (beneficial) 

    Technical Knowledge & Skills  

    • Ability to link potential business value, or improved risk mitigation to future solutions or changes in approach.
    • Working knowledge of functional and mining processes
    • Ability to speak the language of the relevant business unit customers, including displaying solid knowledge of business processes and typical challenges.
    • Ability to navigate through divergent and conflicting views of senior stakeholders and achieve alignment in the best interests of the company.
    • Attention to detail regarding numbers and trends.
    • Strong background on Microsoft technology stack – SQL Server, PowerBI, PowerApps, SharePoint etc
    • Strong change and configuration (code and config) management background in order to ensure stable end user experiences.
    • Strong technical knowledge around ETL, Cubes, Hierarchies, drill downs, roll ups, in-memory compute etc
    • Proven project management experience and substantial team leadership experience
    • Agent of change, willing to challenge the status quo, and propose new solutions to old problems.
    • Ability to facilitate business continuity scenarios, via the recovery of platforms and applications.
    • Track record delivering analytic and master data value-based outcomes.
    • Desire to drive continuous improvement, with a strong attention to detail.
    • Self-starter, with the ability to work both with a team or independently.
    • Experience working with diverse communities and groups.

    Work Accountabilities  

    • Maintain a set of Analysis and Information Management platforms that contribute to business enablement & effectiveness and is based on functionality that optimally enables users at all levels in AGA to both report on, as well as Analyse data, and contain agreed reports, dashboards, and analytics.
    • Keep abreast of industry and vendor developments in information management and analytics in order to influence company, customer and peer strategy.
    • Work with peers to review business objectives, propose and recommend solutions and optimal delivery mechanisms.
    • Lead discussions with senior stakeholders and their teams on all information management and analytics system matters including monitoring, governing, support take-ons and Service Level Agreement management.
    • Is able to advise the functions and operations of key performance indicators (KPIs) that needs to be measured and deliver solutions to sustainably track and measure those KPIs.
    • Cultivate strong and productive relationships with all stakeholders in the group and appropriate senior leaders in order to provide a single point of contact and accountability for the services provided, including sustainment, material change and strategic positioning.
    • Deliver new platforms and solutions for information management and analytics, ensuring full earned value, based on expectations and plans.
    • Ensure excellent customer service provided by the group, in a transparent and accountable manner.
    • Support the creation and stewardship to the annual capital plan for the IT Platforms and Services group.
    • Analyses complex requirements and makes recommendations to the Senior Manager: Information Management and Analytics for technical solutions, ensuring that these solutions are aligned with the overall business vision, mission, and direction.
    • Cooperate with and maintain records of compliance related to the DT risk management process.
    • The role holder is accountable to take all necessary actions to ensure compliance with required governance in his/her area of accountability. i.e SOX activities, segregation of duties, access control to platforms (such as ARP)
    • Effective management of Commercial contracts related to the area, in conjunction with the Strategy and Governance group and supply chain.
    • Responsible for medium term operational and capital planning, compliance and program development
    • Effective management of Incidents/Requests/Changes/Problems/Config/Capacity/Event etc.
    • Effective management of Demands and Projects related to area.
    • Ensure alignment between other groups.
    • Stakeholder Accountabilities: To include all functions & operations.
