    ELS Teacher The Hills

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Plan, prepare and present interesting and exciting lessons.
    • Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing, and which promotes engaged learning.
    • Behave in a professional manner regarding punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and students’ homework.
    • Evaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice.
    • Be open to continuously developing ones teaching through personal and school wide professional development.
    • Teach extra lessons, when required, on two afternoons per week.
    • Produce resources of a high standard for students.
    • Respond to e-mails and telephone messages from parents within 24 hours.
    • Show loyalty to all facets of Reddford House.
    • Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the Head.
    • Set and mark exams and all other forms of student evaluation.
    • Write report comments.
    • The post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head/line manager determines.

    Head of School

    STRATEGIC CONTRIBUTION OF THIS POSITION

    • Drive academic excellence at Inspired Schools.

    STAFF MANAGEMENT DUTIES

    • Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure that the school’s vision, mission, ethos and strategy development are clearly articulated and understood by members of the Inspired staff.
    • Lead the appointment, appraisal and management of all school staff.
    • Monitor, manage and implement the school budget and resources, curriculum, calendar and timetable, CPD programme, examinations and reporting systems.
    • Support and guide members of staff, promoting a united staff, working for the good of the school.
    • Ensure the marketing of the campus is effectively undertaken.
    • Take responsibility and assist with the mentorship of all new staff members who join Inspired.
    • Work in close collaboration with the Director in the development of the school.
    • Play a lead role in the positive implementation of equal opportunities.
    • Involved with the Disciplinary process when required.

    STUDENT MANAGEMENT DUTIES

    • Responsible to communicate with parents at functions/ meetings/ Information Evenings around all matters.
    • Liaise with parents, students and staff on admissions, academic programmes and discipline matters.
    • Manage safeguarding roles, responsibilities and procedures within the campus.
    • Ensure that student progress is effectively communicated to parents.
    • Help to create and maintain an attractive, effective and exiting environment for learning.
    • Promote the image of the school.
    • Ensure that there is a culture of respect throughout the whole school.

    • Be approachable and caring to pupils, parents and colleagues
