    Distribution Co-ordinator - Pietermaritzburg

    Description

    • The main purpose of this position is to oversee and manage the on-time deliveries of feed to the company’s customers on a daily basis and be responsible to facilitate the maintenance and upkeep of a fleet of trucks.
    • Uphold shift roster for drivers two weeks in advance
    • Responsible for risk and safety assessment for on farm deliveries and to ensure that procedures are adhered to.
    • Ensure silo inspection on farms are done and documented.
    • To follow the correct procedures and processes regarding procurement
    • Submit driver’s schedules for payment to HR by the 16th of each month
    • Schedule deliveries daily, in conjunction with the customer liaison administrator.
    • To maintain an efficient and reliable fleet of trucks by ensuring that the maintenance of the trucks is planned according to schedule to avoid unplanned downtime.
    • To maximise the efficiencies of the trucks and drivers by utilising the Vehicle Tracking system and to continually evaluate the driver’s performance.
    • To make sure that there is a full complement of experienced drivers available by following the recruiting procedure and doing relevant driving and reference checks.
    • To operate the fleet of trucks within the budgeted cost parameters.
    • Control of the spares and consumables of the fleet of tankers to ensure that the spares are on hand when needed.
    • Responsible to ensure that the trucks are maintained in a presentable and acceptable roadworthy condition by implementing processes and checks.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric or Diploma in transportation would be an added advantage.
    • Valid Code EC driver’s license (no endorsements)
    • No criminal record
    • 3 Years previous proven experience in bulk tanker deliveries essential.
    • 3 Years previous Production experience, preferably in the Milling Industry.
    • Customer liaison experience essential.
    • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.

    Feed Safety Specialist - Johannesburg

    Description

    • The Feed Safety Specialist role is located within the sales department of an OpCo. The role of the highest-level Technical Sales Advisor may be located within the sales department of a cluster or division. The Feed Safety Specialist reports to the Sales Manager. The Sales Representative/Key Account Manager and the Feed Safety Specialist work in a ‘tandem approach’ to reach the highest sales possible, whereby the Feed Safety Specialist supports the Sales Representative/Key Account Manager in highly complex and technical processes.     Product Manager - (Feed Additives) - EastRand

    Description

    • The Product Manager  reports to the Sales Manager. The main purpose of this role is to propose, implement, and monitor new product marketing plans to achieve future sales and profit objectives for allocated products
    • Actively drive, promote and support all sales activities of the Feed Additive Range
    • Be the first “go-to” person for technical issues and requests on the relevant products
    • Training and technical support to internal staff with good presentation skills, follow up on possible areas of knowledge development requirements and address
    • Organize, follow-up and take control of feed additive field trials and prepare relevant documentation
    • Identify new business opportunities for new products, re-launches, packaging changes, and range extensions, and proposes initial plans to exploit these opportunities
    • Prepares product marketing plans and discontinuation plans to ensure that the new product range is in tune with market opportunities
    • Prepares sales and profit estimates for future products
    • Liaises with internal departments and external agencies to ensure full communication and success of marketing plans
    • Keep up-to date commercial and technical brochures, leaflets, presentations, labels, packaging, certificates and other means of communication for the products
    • Constantly monitors performance of the product portfolio to ensure it meets organization objectives.
    • Safeguard the quality of the products in cooperation with the quality department, and follow-up on customer complaints

    Minimum Requirements

    • Master’s degree, BSc Animal Science or Nutrition / Veterinary  / experienced and several years of experience in product management
    • 5 years related experience
    • Intermediate PC skills with strong knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing packages
    • Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Willingness to travel 25% of the time
    • Coordinates with internal and external parties (Sales, R&D, Procurement, agencies, key customers, etc.)
    • Implements the overall product-marketing policy into a profitable product portfolio
