The Product Manager reports to the Sales Manager. The main purpose of this role is to propose, implement, and monitor new product marketing plans to achieve future sales and profit objectives for allocated products
Actively drive, promote and support all sales activities of the Feed Additive Range
Be the first “go-to” person for technical issues and requests on the relevant products
Training and technical support to internal staff with good presentation skills, follow up on possible areas of knowledge development requirements and address
Organize, follow-up and take control of feed additive field trials and prepare relevant documentation
Identify new business opportunities for new products, re-launches, packaging changes, and range extensions, and proposes initial plans to exploit these opportunities
Prepares product marketing plans and discontinuation plans to ensure that the new product range is in tune with market opportunities
Prepares sales and profit estimates for future products
Liaises with internal departments and external agencies to ensure full communication and success of marketing plans
Keep up-to date commercial and technical brochures, leaflets, presentations, labels, packaging, certificates and other means of communication for the products
Constantly monitors performance of the product portfolio to ensure it meets organization objectives.
Safeguard the quality of the products in cooperation with the quality department, and follow-up on customer complaints
Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree, BSc Animal Science or Nutrition / Veterinary / experienced and several years of experience in product management
5 years related experience
Intermediate PC skills with strong knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing packages
Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written)
Willingness to travel 25% of the time
Coordinates with internal and external parties (Sales, R&D, Procurement, agencies, key customers, etc.)
Implements the overall product-marketing policy into a profitable product portfolio
