Another whose eyes the Dean 500 had attracted was Clinton Johns, an engineer whose company supplied composites and resins to the boat industry. Clinton had spent life closely connected to the sea and took every opportunity to learn about boat building from the yards. From the stranded Dean crew like Rudolf, Clinton resurrected the company as Phoenix Catamaran, with a new spirit to rethink and redesign the boundaries of what life at sea could be. It would be a collaboration, with Tamas and his US partners forming the Xquisite sales and distribution brand for the new boats.
