    Senior Training Officer - Newcastle / Dundee

    Key Responsibilities:

    Minimum requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Diploma in Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practices or related
    • COMSOC or SAMTRAC 1 & 2
    • MQA Assessor accreditation
    • MQA Moderator accreditation
    • MQA Train-the trainer accreditation
    • 8 years’ experience in operational training and facilitation as a Training Officer
    • Good understanding of SHERQ and mining processes
    • Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
    • Valid driver’s licence

    Electrician - Newcastle / Dundee

    Key responsibilities:

    • Adhere to Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures
    • Maintenance / Repairs on all coal processing plant equipment
    • Distribution circuit / control circuit
    • Responsible for breakdown, standby and possible shutdown duties
    • Electrical diagnostics
    • Fault finding / troubleshooting
    • Installations and rewiring

    Minimum requirements:

    • N3
    • Electrical Trade Test Certificate (Compulsory)
    • HT Switching (Compulsory)
    • 5 year’s experience as a qualified electrician, preferably on a process plant
    • 2 year’s HT Switching experience

    Fitter - Newcastle / Dundee

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems according to established schedules and procedures
    • Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment malfunctions and mechanical problems using various tools, instruments, and diagnostic techniques
    • Repair and Replacement: Perform necessary repairs or replacement of faulty mechanical components, such as bearings, pumps, valves, gears, belts, and other parts
    • Preventive Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of mechanical equipment and systems
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacements performed, including detailed reports of findings and actions taken
    • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, protocols, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
    • Equipment Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve the performance and efficiency of mechanical equipment, proposing and implementing modifications or upgrades where necessary
    • Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate equipment maintenance activities, prioritize tasks, and support overall mining operations
    • Training and Support: Provide guidance, training, and technical support to junior technicians or apprentices, promoting knowledge transfer and skills development within the team
    • Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment and systems as required

    Minimum requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Qualified Fitter (Red Seal - Compulsory)
    • 5 years’ experience as a Fitter on a process plant
    • Good communication (Read and write)
    • Good understanding of safety standards and procedures
    • Willing to work overtime
    • Willing to work shift
    • Own reliable transport

    Boilermaker - Newcastle / Dundee

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout, assembly, and installation of metal components
    • Fabricate and assemble metal structures, including boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and piping systems, using hand tools, welding equipment, and machinery
    • Cut, shape, and weld metal pieces to precise measurements and specifications, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards
    • Install and align fabricated components according to layout plans, equipment manuals, and engineering drawings
    • Conduct inspections and tests of welded joints and metal structures to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards and codes
    • Repair or replace damaged or worn parts of boilers, tanks, and other equipment to maintain optimal performance and safety
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts, to prevent equipment breakdowns and prolong service life
    • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other tradespeople to plan and execute construction and maintenance projects effectively
    • Adhere to safety procedures and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the implementation of lockout/tagout procedures
    • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance activities

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12
    • Qualified Boilermaker (Red Seal - Compulsory)
    • 5 years’ experience as a Boilermaker on a process plant
    • Good communication skills (read and write)
    • Good understanding of Safety Standards and Procedures
    • Willing to work overtime
    • Own reliable transport
