• Maintaining and/or repairing low level and high level instrumentation and technical equipment.

• Assessing breakdowns and applying appropriate fault finding techniques to pinpoint root causes quickly and efficiently
• All defective equipment identified and reported timeously
• All instrumentation maintained and/or repaired correctly, safely and according to standards;
• Interpret instrumentation diagrams and job cards
• Lock-out equipment
• Check instrumentation
• Order parts from stores
• Repair instrumentation

• Install and maintain instrumentation

• All documentation completed

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 / N2
• Relevant Instrumentation Trade Certificate
• At least 3 years relevant experience as an Instrumentation artisan

Skills & Knowledge:

• Siemens PCS7 SCADA system and mid-level control system knowledge
• Working knowledge of conveyor belt scales
• Working knowledge of Process Automation GAMMA Density Gauges
• Working knowledge of Endress & Huaser Process Instruments (flow, level)
• Working knowledge of variable speed drives
• Working knowledge of control valves
• Working knowledge of Siemens Simocodes
• Expert Knowledge on Belt scale and Density Gauge Calibration methods
• Sound Knowledge of Plant Industrial Networks.
