Maintenance Assistant at RCL Foods

Job Description

Do you want to be part of a growing and enthusiastic company working towards an ambition to offer more food to more people, more often?” The KZN Agriculture team is on the hunt for Maintenance Assistants to join the Consumer division with a direct report to the Handyman.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science would be advantageous.
• Relevant qualification in engineering will be an advantage.
• Mechanical, Electrical and Civil experience would be an advantage.
• Driver’s license will be an advantage.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Will be required to work overtime.
• Ability to identify tools and fittings related to civil/mechanical and electrical.
• Knowledge of poultry equipment would be an advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Rendering assistance to Maintenance Handyman in the execution of all electrical, mechanical and civil maintenance and
• repair of Agriculture related machinery and equipment as per below output.
• Inspection of machinery and equipment as per supplier requirements set out in the maintenance manuals.
• Maintenance and repair of all Agriculture related machinery and equipment in accordance to the maintenance plan and
• schedule.
• Repair of Agriculture related machinery and equipment per breakdown.
• Assist with Civil / Mechanical, Electrical maintenance and repairs.
• Perform maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Good housekeeping and familiar with health & safety and hygiene.
• Administration of OHS Act requirements.
• Ensure adherence to all ISO 9001 and 22000 standards and procedures.
• Be part of high performance team.
• Cleaning of machinery.
