Maintenance Assistant - Sebokeng at Clinix Health Group (Pty) Ltd

Job Summary:

To take responsibility for carrying out the day-to-day maintenance jobs (either planned or preventative) and to respond to emergency maintenance situations on all equipment, facilities or buildings. In addition, the incumbent will assist the Maintenance Technician or specialist Artisan with various maintenance requirements for the hospital.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Technical related certificate
• Grade 12 or equivalent level of education essential.
• Code 8 Driver’s license
• 5 years’ maintenance/technical experience within a hospital environment.
• Computer literacy

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Repair and Maintain Autoclaves machines
• Experience in HVAC and air-conditioning systems/equipment
• Ability to carry out basic electrical and plumbing fault finding
• Walks through the business units’ areas to ensure facilities are in excellent operational order
• General maintenance work on facilities, including but not limited to: Replacing light bulbs, touching up painting, repairing workstation furniture and other ad-hoc work tasks
• Nursing call system is to be repaired and maintained
• Be accessible and available in order to provide a 24-hour standby service when required/scheduled to do so
