• Clover is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible to maintain employee safety and manage the maintenance function. This exciting opportunity is based at the Clover Clayville branch.

Requirements    

• BTECH Degree (Electrical/Mechanical) with Millwright qualification (red seal)
• Processing and packaging maintenance experience in similar environment
• Must be available to assist teams after hours and weekends when and where required
• Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
• Experience in working with senior management
• People management experience 
• Business English: Fluent
• Computer literacy (Advanced)
• Code 08 Driver's license

Duties and Responsibilities    

Manage maintenance function at branch and/or area of responsibility

• Ensure optimal maintenance approach and improvement techniques e.g. RCM, 5-Why, HAZOP
• Ensure optimal plant performance in terms of OEE and Availability for both Beverage processing and packaging plants    
• Initiate projects to reduce losses/inefficiencies
• Actively assist maintenance personnel with maintenance, fault finding & continuous improvement
• Plan and execute maintenance plan        
• Establish continuous improvement practices   

Manage the budget

• Optimize and reduce the maintenance cost. Most economical maintenance expenses.        
• Manage and reduce the electrical, steam, water, etc. consumption        
• Manage engineering stock levels for beverage plant        
• Manage the maintenance fixed cost budget        
• Assist in managing the capex budget
• Active involvement and support in managing variable cost        

Manage staff 

• Manage maintenance personnel w.r.t. individual performance, timekeeping, manpower utilization & efficiency, IDPs.
• Ensure optimal utilization of staff        
• Apply consistent discipline         
• Train and develop staff
• Close working relationship with production personnel      
• Conduct meetings and ensure effective communication to all        
• Liaise and communicate with management in all departments         
• Set objectives, manage and measure performance of subordinates        

Maintain employee safety        

• Establish sound safety practices and ensure equipment compliance in accordance with the OSHACT
• Appointed GMR2(7) to assist the GMR2(1) in the execution of his duties
• Implement actions to reduce the environmental impact of the plant       
• Create a safe and efficient working environment (SHE)       
• Establish a safety culture at the plant

Participate in project management

• Oversee the execution of projects
