    Maintenance Planner

    Job Overview

    • The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling of Maintenance and Engineering activities. They are accountable for planned and corrective maintenance completion leading KPIs.
    • The Maintenance Planner continuously improves the efficiency of executing work orders, using tools such as the Planning & Scheduling work management DMS of the PM Pillar. They plan the resources required to complete work orders (maintenance team, reliability team, contractors, parts, tools, etc.) and negotiate with production and the maintenance team lead to schedule maintenance activities.

    What are we looking for?

    • Mechanical Trade Certificate “preferred”
    • Engineering or Mechanical Background
    • Experience in Maintenance Planning/Scheduling and Inventory (spares).
    • Reliability/ maintenance in an advanced manufacturing facility, preferably in food or beverage.
    • Planning experience in a CMMS is essential.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Safety, Quality (HACCP, GMP), purchasing processes and Quality Management Systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to understand (and when required create/update) documentation in the any of the above-mentioned systems.
    • Demonstrated ability as a team player with good organizational, people and communication skills (across multiple departments and all levels of personnel).
    • Demonstrated ability to work on a variety of unconnected assignments and task lists.
    • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with Microsoft Excel and Word, Including report-writing.
    • Strong communication skills on job status
    • Experience In MSE/ WCM/ TPM will be highly beneficial

    What will be your key responsibilities?

    • Health, Safety & Environment – Promoting/Improving HSE culture and ensuring compliance within the Maintenance Department. Including the safe management of associates, maintenance contractors and service providers
    • Change Management and Culture - Key member of the maintenance team and responsible for the relevancy of all the Preventative maintenance Plant Programmes, Policies and Procedures.
    • Continuous Improvement – To be involved in MSE PM Pillar. Implement and sustain improvements made through MSE and Continual Maintenance Strategy Review.
    • Develops the weekly plan ahead of time by liaising with leading hands, Workshop and Technical management.
    • Facilitates the weekly planning, weekend work and shutdown meetings.
    • Daily management of new work requests and work orders in the CMMS to ensure relative action is taken with the adequate priority.
    • Develops and manages work packs in line with the standardized weekly planning process.
    • Identifies sources and checks parts are available for the maintenance planning activity in line with the Standardized Planning process for developing a weekly plan.
    • Maintains a complete register of all equipment and ensures CMMS stays up to date
    • Ensures the pre-ordering of major spares for scheduled of future activities.
    • Contributes to maintenance efficiency and effectiveness by participating in reviews of major activities to seek ways of improvement and reporting on such activities and initiating action where appropriate.
    • Schedule work orders in accordance based on asset criticality list.
    • Develop pre & post plans for shutdowns jointly with Reliability Engineer and Production Team Leads
    • Review job completion lists and follow up with team members.
    • Previous week plan review and close out.
    • Following week plan review and weekend plan management.
    • Monitor and manage backlog of maintenance tasks, with escalation as appropriate.
    • Ongoing update and addition of parts to BOM.
    • Engage with Engineers in Project meetings and provide support required.
    • Work with reliability department to regularly update and manage maintenance strategies.
    • Manage new vendor requests.
    • Regular communication on weekend and shutdown planning with production.
    • Maintain and manage service reports.
    • Compliance to ensure all aspects of the day to day operation of the plant are compliant with Local body, Legislative and Corporate requirements.
    • Manage and document all safety, quality, and legislative associated tasks/services.
    • Shutdown and maintenance window post-maintenance reviews for Improving work processes.
    • Creation of new maintenance plans for new equipment
    • Reporting on Technical Department leading KPIs related to maintenance planning.
    • Support the stockroom clerk with stock control processes and Interface with the Indirects buyer for ordering of spares and services.
