Maintenance Worker - KZN at Astral Foods Ltd

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

• Ground Maintenance (cutting grass, weeding, cleaning electric fence)
• Cleaning and packing of store equipment
• Stock control and management
• Building maintenance – Basic building skills
• Basic plumbing skills
• Erecting up and fixing of boundary / perimeter fences
• Installing floor tiles
• Repairing of ceilings, painting and installing of doors.
• Ensure all persons coming into site follow ALL Bio-security procedures
• Adhere to Biosecurity procedures at ALL times
• Adhere to 20 keys standards
• Adhere to Animal Welfare standards when transferring or depleting
• Adhere to OHSA standards
• The maintaining of product quality, hygiene and biosecurity standards

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of a grade 12 education.
• Passionate, self-motivated and performance driven.
• A team player with the strong people skills.
• Must be pro-active and be able to work accurately and independently.
• Working hours are irregular and include weekend duties.
