• We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team, based out of Umhlanga, Durban. The MCG Group headquartered in the UK, is a leading group of specialist international recruitment businesses, operating in multiple sectors of industry.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing international accounts and handling multiple foreign currencies, with specific focus on EMEA.

You will be responsible for:

• General Ledger and Financial Transactions:
• Process general ledger transactions for the whole group
• Manage credit card account transactions and Petty Cash
• Perform month-end and year-end closings to Trial Balance
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
• Intercompany reconciliation of accounts
• Prepare and manage VAT returns and related queries

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Perform in-depth analysis of costs
• Provide financial analysis and support to management and operational areas.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist with budget preparation and mid-year forecasting.

Compliance and Auditing:

• Assist with audit schedules and queries for annual audits

Other:

• Handle ad-hoc queries

Whilst each of our employees come from varying backgrounds and unique experiences there are a few things we’d love to see you check the boxes on;

• Relevant Finance Qualification or in progress (CIMA advantageous).
• At least 3-5years experience in a management accountant role, with a focus on international accounts; Working experience in Europe, APAC and Dubai preferred
• Proficiency in dealing with foreign currencies and understanding their impact on financial statements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy & ability to show initiative.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
