Management Accounting Specialist at Anglo American

Job Description:

The Management Accounting Specialist will contribute to the financial and management accounting of marketing related activities within the business.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to: 

• Financial and management accounting for marketing related transactions
• Analysis of marketing data e.g., sales registers, trading transactions.
• Provide valuable performance analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders on a timely basis
• Statutory reporting for market development companies
• Implementation and maintenance of a strong control environment
• Develop and drive implementation of digital solutions to address increasing data processing demands

This role is at our Johannesburg Corporate Office, at a Band 6 level reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager.

Qualifications:

• Degree/Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field
• CA(SA) qualification

Experience:

• 8 – 10 years post article experience
• Financial instruments in a trading environment.
• Extensive finance and IFRS experience
• Understanding of tax regulations (income tax, VAT, customs duty)
• Proficient in budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent SAP and MS office
• Strong communication and presentation skills
