    Management Trainee Knowledge and Insights- COF Midrand

    Job Description    
    Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our Marketing & Customer department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience for a Management Trainee : Knowledge & Insights, which is based in CCBSA Midrand. The successful candidate will report directly to the respective functional manager.

    PURPOSE
    This opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual, who has the potential to be developed for roles within the Corporate environment.  
    Key Duties & Responsibilities    
    KEY OUTPUTS

    The successful candidate will:

    • Undergo a 12 months formal training programme to gain knowledge and experience in management, corporate strategy and commercialization principles and apply these to ensure the efficient and effective completion of all delegated tasks and/or projects
    • Providing key/ deep specialist knowledge to regions, channels, and key functions in formulate strategy development by:
    • Providing support in the developing short term, medium and long term pricing strategies
    • Delivering defined and discrete analytical work contributing to the development of the corporate and business strategy
    • Providing leadership and support to Sales & Distribution functions on initiatives designed to improve the commercial capability of the business, and ensuring alignment with the broader business and its strategic priorities support the building of the strategy community worldwide. 
    • Contributing to the design and implementation of key business performance management mechanisms
    • Developing a detailed understanding of performance and value drivers across the business and using these to guide the organisation into strategy development
    • Developing a detailed analysis platform of customer data used for superior category interaction and category development to support Sales & Distribution
    • Designing and continually improving the performance management governance routines to ensure meetings are insightful, action-oriented and consequential
    • Co-ordinating the overall integrated strategy and business planning and performance process for the business
    • Creating and sharing facilitating templates, toolkits, frameworks and documentation supporting strategy development
    • Supports decision making through analytics
    • Responsible for market potential studies
    • Providing key/deep specialist knowledge to marketing to support in category/ channel strategy development by:
    • Leading, guide and implement insights into local market performances across all categories that are relevant, global market best practices and future opportunities
    • Providing customer, channel, category, pack, brand, competitor and consumer specific information
    • Contributing to the on-going evolution of and enhancement of category specific fact initiatives, drawing on the experience and learning’s from projects conducted in other regions / markets
    • Development of econometric modelling to formulate the short, medium and long term pricing strategies
    • Supports decision making through analytics
    • Responsible for all share and market data, including monitoring, accuracy and delivery thereof.
    • Responsible for customer data, category insights, market information and basket level relationships
    • Responsible for category reviews and analysis as well as competitor information
    • Work closely with in-country KO Knowledge and Insights Teams, to deliver on consumer insights that formulate occasion based programmes that support the category development and channel marketing teams
    • Own the local Nielsen relationship, as well as all relevant customer data integrity and market data.
    • Responsible for professional development of direct line reports
    • Responsible for providing direction and value-adds for relevant research required within categories, channel, regions, shopper and customer
    • Translates findings into meaningful insights and business implication to aid decision making and influence strategic direction

    Skills, Experience & Education    
    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of a Business Science, BSC or BComm
    • Post graduate or professional qualification advantageous

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience across all core research and analytical techniques.
    • Ability to apply consumer shopper and market information to business issues
