Manager Accounting at adidas Group

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

• To ensure financial data is kept up to date by booking, reconciling, analysis, and report generation. Additionally, ensure strict adherence to the Group Finance manual and all applicable IFRS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and support in month end closing & smart close management
• Managing the Payroll accounting and reconciliations
• Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain insurance contract renewals and submissions to external stakeholders
• Alignment and follow-up with team on aged accounts (all BS accounts)
• Ensure accurate Inventory and GIT accounting through detailed review of General Ledger accounts and related inventory reports
• IFRS 16 valuations and reconciliation for leases
• Alignment with Real estate team to ensure accuracy of lease master data
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
• Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
• Assist with preparing the company’s annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance of accounting policies and procedures
• Guidance to direct and indirect team on accounting treatment
• Ad-hoc requests for accounting, analysis and projects as requested
   

Controlling:

• Measure progress on own & team KPIs.
• Monitor all allocated reports.
• Ensures adherence to group accounting policies and procedures.
