There are more 500 million smallholder farms globally. 2,5 billion people depend on Smallholder Communities for their food and livelihoods. Smallholder regions are charectirized by low living standards, high rates of illiteracy and low agriculture productivity. Yara's mission is "Responsibly Feed the World and Protect the Planet". Key to achieving this is enabling thriving Smallholder Communities.

In 2017, Yara created a new digital development unit to build solutions for smallholder farming communities. The team is made up of designers, software engineers, data scientists, services and solutions managers and product owners. Digital Farming is a strategic priority within Yara. Each year we significantly grow our global Digital Farming team and country coverage. With hubs in Europe, Latin America, Asia and North America, Yara Digital Farming is shaping the future of farming by building new digital solutions solving critical problems within agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Drive the commercial success of Smallholders solutions in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders, advancing digital transformation;
• Align with and support solution managers for product roll-outs and upgrades in including representing market requirements for roadmap planning;
• Leadership towards local Smallholders team members including line management of digital growth marketing specialists;
• End to end ownership of go-to-market strategies, country legal clearance and compliance, commercial business case, budget and resource requrements;
• Lead in-country transformation and collaborate with existing Yara business in driving new business models and services;
   

Profile

• Formal qualification in Digital Marketing;
• Experience in an expanding B2B and B2C digital soluions portfolio with end-to-end commercial experience;
• Strong knowledge and experience of digital transformation and new business models;
• Digital channel management experience with business distribution channels and segments;
• Experience in full mobile acquisition funnel and customer success management;
• Team management in an international matrix environment with specialist resources (e.g. sales and marketing, operations etc.)
• Awareness and understanding of new digitally-enabled business models in the agricultural space.
