To develop policy for heritage education and outreach and link them to department’s mission and storyline of //hapo and Garden of Remembrance including Gallery of Leaders.
Coordinate and provide oversight of story telling performances to enhance the story line of Freedom Park.
Establish and manage stakeholder relations/MOUs and their relationships.
Manage the writing and designing of teaching and learning material based on //hapo and Freedom Park storyline.
Manage and facilitate heritage education to enhance pillar of Freedom Park storyline (indigenous knowledge systems, Heritage, Spirituality and History) and complement the national curriculum.
Implement outreach programs and the visitor flow for touring guide spaces.
Provide supervision, discipline, and ensure active participation of the unit in all audit processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements
Postgraduate qualification / Honours degree in the social/human sciences, which may be Heritage Studies, History, Indigenous Knowledge Systems, African Studies, and Education.
5 years’ experience in management
1-5 years’ experience in the heritage industry and education field.
