Minimum Requirements    

• BCom (Hons) Finance (Essential/Minimum)
• Management Development Programme (Essential/Minimum)
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (Recommended/Desirable)
• 8-10 years of relevant experience in Business Operations with expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (Essential/Minimum)
• Proficient knowledge of the Companies Act, Income Tax, and commodity regulations
• Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
• Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
• Membership or affiliation with the SA Institute for Chartered Accountants (Recommended/Desirable)
• Proven ability in financial management, strategic planning, compliance, and governance assurance
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record in talent development and performance management

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Oversee all financial management activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulations, and governmental guidelines.
• Lead the preparation of accurate financial reports and manage the consolidated budget forecast for the business unit.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, providing specialized financial support and representing the company at essential forums.
• Implement best practices for functional excellence by standardizing processes, eliminating redundancies, and fostering knowledge sharing.
• Drive strategic financial planning in alignment with business unit and group strategies, ensuring seamless integration of all financial initiatives.
• Develop and nurture a high-performance finance team through effective talent development and performance management practices.
• Ensure adherence to ethical financial governance, continuously assessing compliance and mitigating risks across all financial operations.
• Lead discussions with relevant stakeholders to align financial strategies with company objectives and resolve any operational issues.
• Monitor and forecast financial risks, ensuring implementation of risk management strategies and compliance with tax regulations.
• Promote a culture focused on safety, continuous learning, and operational excellence within the finance team.
